Team Only Stronger Day
San Diego County
Officially Proclaimed August 19th by the County of San Diego
Empowering Communities. Building Resilience.
Team Only Stronger Day is an officially recognized day of awareness, healing, and unity—held each year on August 19th throughout San Diego County. Established by proclamation from the County Board of Supervisors in 2023, this day was created to recognize the extraordinary work of the nonprofit Team Only Stronger, and to honor its mission: to raise awareness about childhood sexual abuse and trauma, and to advocate for victim resilience, recovery, and empowerment.

This day serves as a platform not only to amplify survivor voices and promote community education—it also exists to celebrate those who make this movement possible.

A Day of Purpose and Recognition
Each year on August 19, Team Only Stronger brings the community together to:
-
Raise Public Awareness about the lasting impact of childhood sexual abuse and trauma.
-
Honor Survivors and create safe, supportive spaces for healing and empowerment.
-
Celebrate Community Champions — including advocates, volunteers, first responders, mental health professionals, and those who go above and beyond in protecting and uplifting vulnerable populations.
-
Recognize Sponsors, Donors & Partners whose generosity, leadership, and collaboration make our work—and this day—possible.
“Healing is not a solo journey. It takes a team. And those who stand beside survivors deserve to be honored just as much as those who speak their truth.”
— Team Only Stronger
